Pondering my Survey
Since my followers are also educators, I believe I will simply survey the capabilities of technology of my followers. This will give me a clue to see where I size up. Technology has been something I have avoided. I hate to admit this outloud but I am the student who is afraid of failure so...I never attempted. Plus, if I can manage with out...I am not fascinated by the newest invention. I still own a VCR at home to watch old movies that I love. I also have a DVD player and will until the Blue Ray makes them both obselete. I didn't own a credit card til I was 28. My love of shopping online was the only inspiration for that. I didn't get a cell phone until I met my husband six years ago. I just didn't see a need until I wanted to be found at all hours and minutes. Now...we don't have a house phone. When my husband got an I-Phone, I was not really impressed that he could watch movies and read his emails while we sat at the dinner table. It seemed rather intrusive. Then the babies came along...and I struggle with getting to the computer to check things for school. Now, I am asking to check or look up items on his phone so that I do not fall behind at work or with simply reading the news. I am becoming aware that things are changing...and for the first time I want to be apart of it.
